Respect for our neighbours!
Parking: Some parents are continuing to park over resident’s driveways, even when there are white lines painted on the road! Our Governors have had no choice but to inform the local council, and cars continuing to do so may be towed away.
Litter: We are really embarassed that residents are complaining about our children throwing litter into their gardens. This includes copies of our school newsletter! Do everyone a favour – PUT RUBBISH IN THE BIN!
School PE Kit
All of our KS2 children have now been given a red Birchfield’s T-shirt for P.E. Please ensure that your child has their new kit in school on their P.E. days. Parents of KS1 children can purchase red T-shirts from the office for £4.
Now that the weather is becoming colder children may wear black jogging bottoms for Games lessons.
School Uniform
Increasingly children are coming to school in hoodies and jeans etc. We kindly ask parents and carers to ensure that children have appropriate school clothes. Often the children are engaged in activities that could result in their other clothes being damaged.
Sensible footwear
Can we ask that parents and carers ensure that children have sensible black footwear for school that will keep their feet dry. Ideally children need to wear a black, well soled shoe that will keep their feet dry.
As Foundation Stage are outside for a lot of the day Wellingtons are fine to change into, but these are too uncomfortable to wear all day in Y1-6.
Football Cards
Some of our children are collecting Football Cards. May I remind children and families that if they are seen in class they will be confiscated, and will not be returned. This follows an incident where a Y5 child went into a teacher’s handbag to retrieve his cards having broken the rules. If there are more problems relating to football cards they will be banned altogether.
